New Jersey trying to ban LIV Golf
After LIV Golf had a successful tournament at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey Democrat Senators Andrew Zwicker and Ricard Codey introduced a bill on Tuesday that would specifically ban LIV Golf events from taking place inside the state of New Jersey.
The bill prohibits any sporting events backed by sovereign wealth funds, but is definitely aimed at LIV Golf and Donald Trump. “We do not need further recognition or notoriety from hosting competitions that are bankrolled by repressive governments or unsavory actors like Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman,” Sen. Zwicker said in a statement.
It is apparent that this is just another attempt to smear LIV Golf. Where will the next attack come from? Politics has no business in sports…
