On Friday July 29, 2022 48 players tee’d off on a shotgun start at the 7591 yard par 71 Tom Fazio and Tom Fazio II designed Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. The competition was not only for an individual title, but also for a team title that had the potential to develop into an exciting competitive finish regardless of who took the individual trophy. And as the finish on Sunday neared, the excitement did not disappoint.

The Aces, with Captain Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Taylor Gooch and Pat Perez and the Fireballs with Caption Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer, Carlos Ortiz and Eugenio Chacarra began to prove that LIV’s team concept, which is embedded in the LIV Tour tournaments, brought another major addition to the action. Although some drew near to catching Henrick Stenson, who won the tournament, it was a must to keep your eye on the teams and who would prevail in the end.

Stenson shot a 202 narrowly edging out Mathew Wolff and DJ at 204, Carlos Ortiz at 205 and Patrick Reed at 206. Below were the top ten finishers:

Although Stenson took $4,000,000 winning 1st place, he always donates to his foundation to help kids. When asked about his foundation Henrick said “Yeah, like most of my colleagues, we’re involved in different charitable things, and with our foundations, yeah, we do junior events, we do para golf tournaments and some different camps for para golfers back in Sweden. Yeah, we’ve done different things with junior golf. It’s a game that a lot of people enjoy, obviously, and we want to get as much youth into the game, and that’s a great way to make that happen. Got some good people that I work with, and yeah, we do some good stuff.” Tee Box Tines believes that this is the true essence of golf.
